Rest camps are located near Kunming and Chengtu (Chengdu). Excellent traditional facilities are available including swimming, boating, golf, tennis, fishing and hunting. A medical officer and nurse are always in attendance and everything possible to done to help .. forgot the unpleasant things of war. Great benefit is observed after even one week of relaxation. CBI-44-60576 30 Sept 44 Photo by Pfc J.C. Bowermaster Five Japanese bombers struck the Liuzhou airbase on the 29th of September and destroyed this B-24 and a gas dump, as well as a C-46 transport plane. During a fourty-five minute raid the was the only serious damage suffered.
