Pilot Edward "Two-Gun" McCoy posing with M1903 "Springfield" rifle in 1943 before his plane, B-24 WE'REWOLVES. His stance matches the image of him painted by Thomas Grady near the pilot's window, above him.

Edward L. "Two-Gun" McCoy
This image pictures my grandfather, We'rewolves pilot, Edward "Two-Gun" McCoy posing with M1903 "Springfield" rifle in 1943.
He was from Cleveland, Tennessee and the image representing him painted by Thomas Grady may be a modeled on a Tennessee Volunteer (near the pilot's window and above the Two-Gun McCoy script).
The "Two-Gun" nickname supposedly came from his ability throw a baseball and football (possibly ambidextrously) in high school and at Arkansas Polytechnic College where he attended with fellow crewman Paul S. Hite).
