Pvt. Louie E. Mallette Jr., son of Mrs. L.E. Mallette, R.D. 2, Lucedale, Miss., explains the intricacies of a camera to a Chinese photo laboratory technician at headquarters of the Fourteenth Air Force's hard-hitting Chinese-American Composite Wing. Pvt. Mallette who has been overseas since July 23, 1944, has been assigned to the wing's photographic section as a photographer and camera repairman. He formerly had served with a combat camera unit in the China Theater. The wing to which he is now assigned is a unique organization made up of both Chinese and Americans. Pvt. Mallette, a graduate of the Rocky Creek High School at Lucedale, has been in the army since June, 1941. He was employed by the Gulf Refining Co. at Mobile, Ala.
