ENLISTMENT RECORD:

Before transfer to the AAF, being trained as a Bombardier and receiving an Officer\'s commission, Reed Deen entered the service on January 6, 1941 as an Enlisted man in the National Guard,  detailed to an Artillery unit. Point of entry was most likely Ft. Smith Arkansas as it lies in Sebastian County.
